About the Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Experience Manager will directly manage the Assistant Reef Operations Managers (AROMs), fostering an environment of high performance that aligns with our organisational objectives. Your role encompasses the oversight of pontoon operations, ensuring safety and efficiency while elevating guest experiences. This position will require overnight stays on our pontoon at Hardy Reef on the Great Barrier Reef, offering an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in one of Australia's most stunning natural environments. You will also play a crucial part in compliance, recruitment, and maintaining operational consistency across the fleet, all while promoting a culture of exceptional guest service. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide leadership and mentorship to AROMs, conducting regular meetings to discuss operational updates, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Monitor safety protocols and conduct risk assessments, leading safety drills to ensure staff preparedness and compliance with statutory requirements. Assess guest feedback and operational performance to identify necessary improvements, fostering a culture of outstanding guest service among team members. Manage recruitment for pontoon operations, including identifying staffing needs, overseeing the onboarding process, and ensuring accurate verification of competency documentation for marine staff. Ensure VOC’s and VSIs across fleet are current and filed appropriately for reference upon request About You We are seeking an enthusiastic dedicated professional with a love for the marine industry. You will be a proactive problem solver, have a keen eye for detail and proven ability to balance multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines. You will have a sound knowledge of the marine / tourism environment along with a passion for delivering memorable experiences.
